about

"Tom initially heard of us through Paul 'Noel' Stookey and the charity organization Music to Life, since we were selected to appear on a Music to Life compilation album. And then after seeing us in New Orleans at Folk Alliance International 2020, Tom really wanted to work with us! Our booking agent introduced everyone to each other over Zoom, we hit it off, and the rest is history!

It was incredible to work with Tom! He brings a lot of joy to the songwriting process, he takes it very seriously, but has a lot of fun along the way. We have a super-similar approach, so I think that is why it worked so well! For a while, we were meeting up to write every week - I think the two songs that made it onto the EP came a little later in the process, but in total we'd written about 8-10 songs together. Someone would bring an inkling of an idea, and then we would all edit it and flesh it out. His energy is amazing too!!! Usually when Lucy and I write together as a duo, we normally work as much as we can on one tune, and then stop when we feel it's done or if we hit a wall. With Tom, we'd finish one song and then he would want to keep going and start another! It was incredible. We didn’t realize we would create this entire project together when we started, but once we had a couple of songs we really liked, we knew that we had to release them all together as a holistic project!"
